Since 1999, when I first traveled to
Cuba, my mission has been to show art
rarely seen in the United States, helping to support the artists in Cuba and thereby improving cultural ties between the two nations.
(The import and sale of art from Cuba was legalized by a 1991 Supreme Court decision, despite other trade estrictions still enforced by the U.S. embargo).
The work of the artists on my website has been exhibited in galleries in Cuba
and abroad in New York, Boston, Chicago,
Miami and with Santiago Olazabal, even at Art Basel.
Lacking a physical gallery, I have shown the art at galleries, cultural events, hospitals and art fairs like ArtOffTheMain and the ICA Art Fair here in New York.
The selection on my site, which contains more information, is varied and very eclectic and prices begin at $500.
