Contributions You certainly may specify how you want us to use your gift. If you do not stipulate otherwise, it will go to Social Service. Donations to the Scholarship Fund will allow you to support the education of young Swiss-Americans. It is a good idea to discuss any sizable gift, in whatever form you choose, with your lawyer and financial planner. We also have knowledgeable professionals available who will be happy to consult with you and your advisors.
The generosity of people like you and your friends, whose private support is helping the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York, enables us to maintain our mission of excellence in the caring for the elderly, counseling our compatriots in trouble, and educating the young. We are deeply grateful for your consideration.
In addition, we organize some social events, maintain a Swiss Business Directory, and serve as an information center about the Swiss community here.
Each contribution confers membership in the SBS for the calendar year in which it is made. Contributions are listed in the Society's annual report in the following categories: Membership Levels | $ 35 | Bronze Level | $ 36 - 55

Donations
Many members mark special occasions in their lives with special donations to the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York. They celebrate the birth of children and grandchildren with a gift in honor of the new baby, or remember the life of a family member or friend with a memorial donation.
These special donations are listed separately in our annual report, with the name of the person honored.
Other people do not want to become members, yet want to contribute financially to our work. Their gifts are also listed under "Donations."
The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the SBS as a non-profit corporation under Code 501(c)(3). Your donations and contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Becoming a member is easy. Simply send in your donation to the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York. We’d prefer that you send your payment accompanied by our Membership Form which can be downloaded here in Adobe Acrobat Reader format – or by clicking here to pay online.
If for any reason you do not wish to download the form electronically, you may request that it be sent to you via postal mail, either using our online request form or in writing, telephone or fax.
