At the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York, the passion to serve our members, non-members and community drives who we are and what we do.
Every day. Since 1832.
The mission of the Society is to provide information and programs to its members, serve the needs of Swiss or Swiss-Americans of all ages and promote intercultural cooperation.
The Society's social service program offers services that are available free of charge to both members and non-members.
Since the inception of the various scholarship and grant programs, the Society's assistance with tuition payments has made a tremendous difference in the lives of hundreds of Swiss or Swiss-Americans and their families.
The staff is the most important resource of the organization. It is a dedicated and professional team who is passionate about its work.
The staff is supported by a supervisor, volunteers, consultants and many wonderful members.
The Society receives no government support, either Swiss or American. All of the funding comes from the generosity of the Swiss-American community. The administrative costs are kept to a minimum and the greatest possible portion of member donations will go directly into programs to help others.
The Swiss Benevolent Society of New York is a New York State not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. All contributions and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
